On the tail end of the mid-day rush today, Mountain Justice activists entered into a Bank of America branch in downtown Columbia South Carolina to protest
the bank's investments in Mountaintop Removal and coal-fired power plants. While two protestors played high-energy traditional fiddle and banjo music, others, adorned with Mountain Justice stickers, distributed information to employees and account-holders while one soap-boxed, explaining that as BoA continues to fund the destruction of Appalachia, Appalachian musicians would continue to arrange renegade performances at BoA locations.

One account-holder expressed to us that she was already unhappy with BoA's services and thanked us for sharing our information with her.

The tellers called the cops and we left before they arrived having already engaged everyone in the branch and given everyone a flyer. As we left our new friend who was already unhappy with BoA wished us well.

This action was organized by an autonomous Mountain Justice affinity group and supported by activists with the Southern Energy Network and Students Allied for a
Greener Earth at the University of South Carolina.
